SIMPLY THE BEST ORGANIC CHEW FOR DOGS

Like all Farm to Pet's antler dog chews, our premium-grade Elk Antlers for Dogs are ethically and sustainably sourced from local farms and crafted to perfection for dogs who love long-lasting chews. Slightly softer than deer sheds for dogs but still very tough, these grade A and B elk antlers are hand gathered in nearly pristine condition to retain their natural integrity through hours of chewing. This makes them an excellent, durable, long-lasting natural chew for dogs with strong teeth and jaws.

ESSENTIAL CANINE NUTRITION WITH EVERY BITE

Treat your dog to chewing satisfaction and healthy nutrition with every bite of our organic elk antler dog chews. Packed with protein, essential minerals, collagen, and glucosamine, to name a few, these healthy dog chews offer more than just entertainment - they promote overall pet wellness as well by supporting bones, joints and metabolism. Plus, unlike many other dog chew toys, our organic antlers for dogs are non-allergenic, odorless and mess-free.

SAFE DOG CHEWS, HAPPY DOGS

Elk antlers for dogs are already safer than bones due to their natural resistance to splintering. At Farm to Pet, we go the extra mile by removing sharp edges, refining the finish, hand washing and meticulously inspecting each organic dog chew before it reaches your precious pup. This also makes the elk antler sheds more palatable for dogs to chew, so you can both be happy with your healthy dog chew choice.

CHOOSING SPLIT VS. WHOLE ELK ANTLER DOG CHEWS

While there’s no wrong choice between a split or whole antler dog chew, most dogs chew to reach the tasty marrow inside. A split elk antler with the marrow exposed is our "easiest" chew, still tough but slightly softer than deer and reindeer antler chews. This makes split antlers best if your pup is more of a novice or occasional gnawer than a determined chomper. If your dog is a power chewer, whole antler sheds for dogs offer a tough, longer-lasting challenge that your chewing champion will go crazy for. Before giving your dog an antler chew, here are useful tips to determine what type, style and size of antler chew is best suited for your dog's size and chewing style.

Deer Antlers for Dogs

  • Deer antler chews are our hardest and largest chews.
  • These whole antlers are best suited for very aggressive and experienced chewers.
  • Farm to Pet Deer Antlers are available in L and XL sizes only for dogs 35 lbs and higher.

Reindeer Antlers for Dogs

  • Relndeer antler dog chews are also suited for aggressive chewers but come in more sizes and whole and split versions.
  • Whole Reindeer Antler Chews are very tough and require aggressive chewing to reach the marrow.
  • Split Reindeer Antler Chews are also tough, but come with marrow already exposed.
  • Farm to Pet Reindeer Antlers are available in S (for dogs 1-15 lbs), M (for dogs 15-35 lbs) and L (for dogs 35 lbs and higher).

Elk Antlers for Dogs

  • Elk antler chews are suited for a range of dog sizes, as well as chewers from beginner to aggressive.
  • Whole Elk Antlers still require aggressive chewing to reach the marrow, but the antlers are slightly less tough than deer and reindeer antlers.

FARM TO PET ANTLER DOG CHEW SAFETY GUIDELINES

  • Never choose a small antler just to try it out. It may become a choking hazard.

  • Always choose an antler dog chew in proportion to dog size. They should be able to hold antlers in their paws and chew on one end.

  • Supervise dogs when they are chewing an antler chew, especially aggressive chewers.

  • Regularly inspect the antler chews and replace if there are signs of excessive wear, breakage or splintering.

  • Discard an antler chew before it reaches a size that can become a choking hazard.

  • Puppies should not be given antler chews until their milk teeth have fallen out, usually after six months of age.

  • Antler chews should not be given to dogs with broken or missing teeth or other dental issues.

  • Consult your vet with any safety or health concerns.

ANTLER DOG CHEW FAQS

ARE ANTLERS SAFE FOR DOGS TO CHEW?

Farm to Pet antler chews are healthy and safe chews for dogs. Unlike bones, our organic antler sheds for dogs are naturally splinter-resistant, long-lasting and durable, able to withstand even aggressive chewing by powerful canine jaws. Keep in mind that dogs should not be given any dog chews including antler dog chews if they have weak, loose or broken teeth or to puppies who still have their milk teeth. Dogs should be supervised any time they are enjoying chew time with their favorite chew toy, including antler dog chews.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ELK, REINDEER AND DEER ANTLERS FOR DOGS?

While all antlers make tough dog chews, Elk, Deer and Reindeer Antlers for dogs vary slightly in toughness and durability. Deer antlers are slightly tougher than elk antlers. Reindeer antlers are tougher than both elk and deer antlers:

  • Elk antler chews = tough
  • Deer antler chews = tougher
  • Reindeer antler chews = toughest

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WHOLE AND SPLIT ANTLER CHEWS?

Whole antler sheds for dogs are intact antlers that have been cut at the ends to create different lengths that are appropriate for various dog sizes, then smoothed and honed to be safe for chewing. Split antlers for dogs are whole antlers that have been literally split in half lengthwise to expose the marrow in the middle. Spilt antlers of any type are long-lasting dog chews but slightly less durable than whole versions of the same antler type. Since the marrow is exposed, split antlers make a better choice for beginners or chewers with shorter attention spans. Whole antler chews are better suited and may last longer for experienced and aggressive chewers.

ARE ANTLERS DOG CHEWS HEALTHY FOR DOGS?

Absolutely! Farm to Pet organic antler chews are rich in the following nutrients that support overall canine wellness:

  • Calcium
  • Phosphorus
  • Magnesium
  • Potassium
  • Zinc
  • Glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate

In addition, antler dog chews promote strong jaws and good dental hygiene by helping to reduce plaque and tartar build up. Antler chews are also a non-allergenic, low-fat and low-calorie source of protein and amino acids for dogs.
